On Friday night September 8th at 11pm a devastating 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck Morocco, with the epicenter in the Atlas Mountains.  More than 2000 people have died with thousands more suffering comprehensive injuries.  We are heartbroken and devastated at that this tragedy and are seeking your assistance (and Zakat) to provide much needed medical and basic needs supplies to the remote families in Imlil Village, at the base of the Atlas Mountains.  My family and I were blessed to recently visit Imlil, climbing up the mountain, and to lunch with the family of Mustapha our tour guide.  We enjoyed a home cooked meal and much laughter.  With your generous help we can help the people of the Atlas Mountains to restore their lives. This region is well known to UMMATY, which has already carried out numerous projects there (food aid, schools, building houses, etc.)

Our team and partners are already on the ground. They are reporting an extremely difficult situation: many villages are almost razed to the ground. The residents lost everything. Their families, their homes, their cattle.

UMMATY volunteers are already on site. Your help will help address the urgent needs of our brothers and sisters in the coming weeks.

Don't forget the victims in your du'aa. May ALLAH have mercy on the deceased, may HE heal the injured and support the homeless.
